MARS Midway Special Falls To Mother Nature
8/12/11
Lebanon, Mo. - A late Friday Afternoon rain strom forced the Lebanon Midway Speedway to cancel the racing action Friday Night as over 1 inch fell in less than 30 minutes.
Action will continue next Friday night with a special on track autograph session for the fans at intermission.

Lebanon, Mo. - The much awaited MARS SuperLateModel Special scheduled for Thursday night Aug 4th fell victim to Rain.
Over 3 inches of rain fell in the Lebanon area starting around 6AM Thursday Morning and last until around 11AM. All of Lebanon and Laclede County was under severe Thunderstorm
Warnings and watches Thursday morning.
Officials are looking at a possible make-up date for this event.
Racing action will resume at Lebanon Midway on Friday night Aug 12th with Aaron's Sales and Rentals Night at the races.
Aaron's has joined for the 1st season of sponsorship at Midway this season and is the title sponsor for the B-Mod class weekly. The also are having a Car show on Sat Aug 13th
at their beautiful store in Lebanon on Evergreen Parkway from 10 until 2 to help benefit the American Red Cross.
Lucky Dog from Aaron's has been popular with the kids at Midway in his apperances this season and hopefully will make an apperance.
Racing at Midway starts at 8PM sharp with the Central Bank Chase For The Championship featuring Factory Stocks, Modifieds, Midwest Modz, Pure Stocks and Street Stocks.
Aaron's - American Red Cross Benefit Car Show
Hello Everyone. Aaron's Sales & Lease will be holding an American Red Cross Benefit Car Show. The car show will be open to all racecars, cars, trucks, and motorcycles.
American Red Cross will also be taking blood donations during the car show; refreshments will also be available.

MARS LateModels At LebanonMidway For Larry Phillips Birthday Bash Thursday Aug 4

Lebanon, Mo. - Even though it is 1 month later than the Birthday of the Springfield Legend Larry Phillips, The Lebanon Midway Speedway will play host to the traveling Super
Late Models of the MARS Series for the Larry Phillips Birthday Bash on Thursday Night Aug 4th. This will be the first time since 2009 in which Super Late Models will have
competed at the Speedway. Eric Turner of Hermitage won that thrilling feature with a pass on Terry Phillips with 9 laps left to grab the victory that night.
This season the MARS Late Models have seen 9 different winners out of 13 feature events so far this season as Justin Wells was the most recent winner at the Monett Speedway
last Sunday night.
Heading the star-studded list of drivers expected to be on hand include's current point leader Brad Looney of Republic who holds a narrow 8 point lead over defending MARS
champion and former event winner Terry Phillips of Springfield. Phillips comes into the race still looking for his first MARS victory of the season while Looney who won 3 in
a row hasn't been in the winners circle since June 4th at Salina. Jesse "The Undertaker" Stovall, Rookie Sensation RC Whitwell of Arizona, Jeremy Payne along with Eric Turner
and many others are expected to compete.
Heading the local favorites includes Lebanon drivers Brandon "B-Mac" McCormick who won his first ever MARS feature earlier this season at Humbolt, Kansas and former Midway
track champion Tony Jackson Jr. will be on hand competing. McCormick has had very strong runs at Midway while Jackson who is a former Super Stock and A-Mod champion at the
track has also been strong runners.
With Midway being what many call a drivers track, Southwest area standouts Justin Wells of Aurora and National dirt Hall-of-Famer Ken "The Flying Farmer" Essary along with
Shane Essary as all 3 of these driver have captured feature wins at Midway in the past.
With the Mars Series being UMP sanctioned and Midway a short driver down the Interstate, drivers from the St. Louis area might find this event a chance to gather UMP National
points.
Support Classes will include the B-Mods(Springfield Raceway and Monett Speedway Motor and weight Rules), Midwest Modz and PureStocks. These 3 classes will be given 10 Bonus
points to compete in this event as the final purses are being finalized.
Grandstand Tickets will be $17 for Adults while Juniors (ages 8-15) will be $5 and under 8 Free. Pitpasses will be $30 that night for this special event at Midway this
season.
Grandstand Gates will open around 5:30 while the pitgates will open around 5PM. Hotlaps will start at 7:10 with racing to begin at 8PM for this Thursday Night special
attraction.

MARS LateModels To Return To LebanonMidway Thursday Night Aug. 4th

Lebanon, Mo. - The Super Late Models of the MARS Racing Series will return to the Lebanon Midway Speedway in a special Thursday night edition of racing action on Aug 4th.
The last time the Late Models competed at the Lebanon Midway Speedway was July 10,2009 in which Eric Turner of Hermitage captured a thrilling 35 lap feature as he passed Terry
Phillips on lap 26 to capture the Larry Phillips Birthday Bash.
Heading the Traveling MARS CARS to the Midway will be current point leader Brad Looney of Republic, Springfield's Terry Phillips, Lebanon's own Brandon McCormick and Tony
Jackson Jr., Galena's Undertaker Jesse Stovall, outstanding Rookie RC Whitwell of Arizona, Jeremy Payne, Turner and many other top regional Late Model Drivers.
Since the MARS Series is a member of UMP DirtCar Racing,several top UMP Drivers are also looking at this event to gather those important UMP points.
Several of the Latemodel drivers have enjoyed success at the Midway including Phillips who has captured a Late Model feature there before, Turner who has won not only in '
Late Model competition but also in Factory Stocks and Modifieds. Stovall has won features in a Modified while Jackson Jr is a 2 time Midway Point Champion in Super Stocks(2005)
and Modifieds(2006) while McCormick has had several strong runs at Midway in his Late Model.
This will be the 14th stop on the MARS Tour this season as 8 different winners have graced victory lane out of 12 features this season including McCormick who won at Humboldt,
Kansas earlier in the season. Midway will start the action for the MARS Series that weekend as the following night the drivers head to Tri-City Speedway in Granite City, ILL.
With Midway being considered a drivers track, a strong field of drivers from different area are expected to contend.
Support classes will include B-Mods(Springfield & Monett rules) along with another class or classes to be named.
Gates are expected to open around 5:30 while Hot Laps will begin around 7:10 and Racing at 8PM.

Midway Announces Hot Summer Nights Format July 28 - 29th

Lebanon, Mo. - Owners Jack and Dana Jones have announced the classes and format for the 2nd annual Hot Summer Nights event at the Lebanon Midway Speedway for the July 28th
and 29th events.
Payout to the high point cars between the 2 nights is as follows:
B-Mods and Factory Stocks compete for $750 to win with $60 to start.
Street Stocks battle for $300 to win and $60 to start.
Midwest Modz race for $250 to win and $60 to start.
Pure Stocks go for $200 to win and $60 to start.
Thursday night classes will include B-Mods, Factory Stocks, Street Stocks, Midwest Modz and Pure Stocks going head-to head in a double elimination bracket tournament against
each other. How they finish the tournament will line-up the Friday night features for those classes. The points between the Tournament and the Friday night feature will
determine the overall winner. Drivers will draw for 1st round competition to set the brackets.
Friday Night will also feature the high-horsepower of the A-Mods competing in a special $500 to win $50 to start event. A-Mods will time-in to set the qualifying heats and
feature event as the track will also be having the area Go-Kart kids classes competing.
This special summer event will also be paying bonus points towards the 2011 Championship Chase and drivers must compete both nights to recieve the bonus points. No entry Fee
and pitpasses will be $30 each night.Grandstand prices on Thursday night will be $10 for Adults while Friday Nights program will be $15 for Adults in the Grandstands while kids prices remain the same.
B-Mods drivers running the GM 602 Crate Motor must weigh 2550 lbs and may run the 4 Barrell Carb.

Lebanon Midway Ready For Relay For Life Night At Races-Purple Crown To Be Battled For July 15

Lebanon, Mo. - On Friday Night July 15th, Relay for Life/American Cancer Society teams will be doing a different type of battle on the 3/8th mile dirt oval as 8 teams are
signed-up to compete for the Race of the Purple Crown as the battle to fight Cancer continues.
A Team Rep will be driving a local area stock car against each other to see who can come out on top as the Relay Teams in Lebanon head for the stretch drive in the fight
against Cancer.
Teams include Bays Chiropractic, US Bank, Missouri Cooperage, Heritage Bank, Evergreen, Dowco, The Sherriffs Office and the Lebanon License Office along with the Committee
Team will be selling tickets for this event with a portion of each ticket they sell going to that team to attempt to help acheive not only their goal, but the Lebanon Area
Goal as they are heading towards the checkered flag for this season's Fund Raisers with the Walk at Boswell Park on Sat. July 30th-31st.
The Speedway will be hosting its regular Central Bank Racing Series action that evening featuring Factory Stocks, Modifieds, Street Stocks, Pure Stocks and Midwest Modz. At
Intermission, the relay drivers get their chance at the race track in local drivers racecars competing for a beautiful Trophy Sponsored by the Trophy Shop Of Lebanon (Angie
Myers) and East 32 Quick Stop on the corner of B Highway and 32 (The Armstrong Family) for the winning car owner. Relay members will also be selling 50/50 raffle tickets in
which the winning driver will gather that money for his or her team at the track on race night. Local Area Sponsors are also being sought.
While the Speedway will be selling tickets on race night, Owners Jack and Dana Jones urge everyone to buy from the Relay team members. Tickets are only $10 for Adults, while
Juniors are $5 (Ages 8-15) while under 7 are Free.
Advance tickets can be purchased from the Relay Team Members or at Heritage Bank of Lebanon on South Jefferson or Mid-Missouri Bank on North Jefferson.
Come and watch your friends and neighbors compete for a night of fun along with a great cause in the efforts to help find the cure for Cancer.
Gates will open at 5:30 with hotlaps at 7:05 and Racing at 8PM. The Relay race will be starting approx around 9PM with qualifying heats and a feature event for the relay
teams.
LebanonMidway To Host Relay for Night At The Races July 15th

Lebanon, Mo. - Lebanon Midway Speedway owners Jack and Dana Jones have announced that the Speedway will hold a Special Relay For Life Night at the races on July 15th with
a special race involving a representitve from the teams competing at intermission in local drivers cars.
"Relay for Life is a great thing and even in these tough times, people find ways to help support it." Quoted Owner Jack Jones. "We are happy to host this event to show our
support. "This is something that has hit everyone in their life at one time or another."
The Relay teams will be selling advance tickets for the races that evening. The cost of the ticket for Adults is $10 with Juniors tickets being $5(Ages 8-15) with part of
the proceeds going to the Relay Teams to help acheive their goals for the season. The Highlight of the evening will be a special race at intermission between the teams
selling tickets and being involved in this event in local drivers Racecars that compete at the Midway on Friday Nights with the winner taking home a trophy along with some
extra prize money from the Relay's 50/50 ticket raffle that evening.
"We have had some of our area drivers step-up to provide racecars for someone who has never raced before and that is a big part of this deal." quoted announcer Ronnie
Williams. "This is about neighbor helping neighbor in these tough times and our drivers are stepping up to the plate and it is very much appreciated." Cars that will be
competing are from the Energy Company PureStock and Transport Graphics StreetStock division.
The Race For the Purple Crown will happen around 9PM that evening.Racing action starts at 8PM.
Fans and supporters can purchase their ticket from any Relay for Life team member in the area or at the Lebanon License Office up until July 14th, the day of the event.
The local racing action that night will include the Central Bank Chase for the Championship featuring Factory Stocks, Aaron's Modifieds, Energy Company Pure Stocks, Rocky
Ridge Construction Midwest Modz and Transport Graphics Street Stocks.
Tickets are available the night of the race at the Tracks Grandstand Admission both, but the Speedway urges everyone to get their tickets in advance to help out the
hard-working Relay Teams as this is one of the last Big-Fund Raiser events before the Walk July 30th and 31st at Atchley Park.
Legend Cars To Return To Lebanon Midway July 1st Along With Fireworks Show

Lebanon, Mo. - The popular Missouri Dirt Legend Cars will be making a return apperance on Friday Night July 1st to the Lebanon Midway Speedway as part of the Speedway's
Firecracker Special which will include a Fireworks show at intermission.
The Legend Cars which are a mainstay at the Springfield Raceway every Sat. night are excited about returning to the Midway as part of their Ironman Weekend Event which
includes 3 nights of scheduled Racing for the Area Legend Drivers. This will be the first time in over 3 seasons the Legends have competed at the Midway.
The Central Bank Championship chase for the Friday Night event will include the Aaron's Modifieds, Energy Company Pure Stocks, Rocky Ridge construction Midwest Modz and
Transport Graphice Street Stocks in addition to the Legend Cars. Factory Stocks will not be competing that night due to a special event that weekend.
Legend Cars are 5/8th scale Spec cars that look like the old NASCAR Types modifieds from the 1934-1937 Coupes that many Nascar greats such as Junior Johnson, Fireball
Roberts and many others who helped get Nascar Racing started. They are powered by a Yamaha sealed motor and can put out over 125 Horsepower and weigh only 1300 Lbs. Many
of today's Nascar Super Stars got their start in racing running Legend Cars such as Dale Earnhardt Jr, Carl Edwards, Joey Logano, Kyle Busch, Kurt Busch and many others.
The Class has become so popular that again this season a special $1 Million dollar purse will be put up for grabs at the Charlotte Motor Speedway in North Carolina.
As always the Speedway will be hosting a special Fireworks show at intermission in addition to the Central Bank Series Racing Action.
Gates will open at 5:30 and Hotlaps will begin at 7:05 with Racing action to start at 8PM.
Midway Speedway is a 3/8th mile dirt oval located 6 miles East of Lebanon on Highway 32 and Right on B Highway 1/2 mile on the right-hand side. The Speedway offers a Family

Lebanon, Mo. - Mother Nature claimed the racing action Friday Evening at the Lebanon Midway Speedway as Heavy Thursday night rains followed by a hard afternoon shower
Friday forced cancellation.
The Central Bank chase fro the Championship will continue next Friday with action in the Aaron's Sales and Rental Modifieds, Central Bank Factory Stocks, Rocky Ridge
construction Midwest Modz, Energy Company Pure Stocks and Transport Graphics Street Stocks action. The On Track autograph session will also be held on Friday night.
Racing action begins at 8PM sharp.
LebanonMidway Suffers Rainout-Next Week Aaron's B-Mod Special And Egg Hunt

Lebanon, Mo. - For the second week in a row Mother Nature won the feature Friday night at the Lebanon Midway Speedway as heavy overnight rains forced cancellation of
the event.
Midway will swing back into action Next Friday night April 29th with the running of the $500 to win Aaron's B-Mod event and the kids Easter Egg hunt for those 10 and
under during intermission.
The B-Mod event will feature 1 lap of qualifying on the Speedway clock, qualifying heats and a 20 lap feature along with each driver recieving 10 bonus points towrds
the 2011 Championship Chase. Action will also feature the Factory Stocks, Street Stocks, Pure Stocks and Midwest Modz. Hotlaps will start at 7:05 with time trials for
the Modifieds following the drivers meeting. Race time is slated for 8PM.
Aaron's Sales B-Mods Compete In $500 To Win April 29th At Lebanon Midway

Lebanon, Mo. - The last Friday of each month means extra money for a different class in 2011 at the Lebanon Midway Speedway and on April 29th the Aaron's Sales and
Rental B-Mods get that chance for some extra money as they compete in a $500 to win feature event.
Modified drivers that evening will take 1 lap on the speedway clock to help set their starting spots in the 8 lap Qualifying heats. How the drivers finish in their heat
races will determine how they line-up the scheduled 20 lap feature.This race will also give drivers 10 bonus points towards the Chase for the 2011 Championship. There
will be no entry fee and pitpasses will be $25 per person while Kids 10 and Under are only $10.
Action that night will also feature the high flying Central Bank Factory Stocks, Rocky Ridge Construction Midwest Modz, Energy Company Pure Stocks and Transport Graphics
Street Stocks as they battle in points races.
Admission for the Grandstands is only $10 for Adults while kids 8-15 are $5 and Under 8 are Free. The Speedway also offers a family pack for $25 which includes 2 Adults
and 3 Juniors. VIP Booth seating is also available on most race nights.

Midway Falls To Rain

Lebanon,Mo-The Central bank Racing Series action at the Lebanon Midway Speedway fell victim to rain on Friday.
Action will resume next Friday on April 22nd as the Speedway will roar back into action along with the Kids Easter Egg Hunt at Intermission for the kids
under 8 years of Age.
Action will include the Central Bank Factory Stocks, Aaron's Modifieds, Energy Company Pure Stocks, Rocky Ridge Construction Midwest Modz and the always
popular Transport Graphics Street Stocks.
Gates will open at 5 with hotlaps at 7:05 and Racing at 8PM.
Lebanon Midway Offers Special Pricing Packages for 2011 Season-Class Sponsors Named

Lebanon, Mo. - Lebanon Midway Speedway has announced some special pricing packages for the 2011 racing season to try to help everyone's pocketbook this season in the
Grandstands.
A season pass for an Adult can be purchased for $125 for the entire season including special events(Spring Fling, Hot Summer Nights, MARS Super LateModel Event, Coca-Cola
Fall Brawl) on the stockcar track.
The Speedway is also offering a special family package for $25 per Night on regular events which includes 2 Adults and 3 Juniors (Ages 8-15). Normal Admission prices on a
regular event is $10 for Adults and Juniors (Ages 8-15) $5 with under 8 being Free.

The Midway has also announced the sponsors for the 2011 divisions so far this season.
Aaron's Sales and Lease in Lebanon will be the title sponsor for the B-Modifieds. This is the 1st season for the local store to join in the sponsor program at the track and
jumping in quickly in one of the most exciting and competitive classes at the Speedway which headlines most every night of racing. The Aarons of Lebanon is located on
Evergreen Parkway in the newest shopping Center in Lebanon with a big beautiful store to serve all your needs.
Central Bank of Lebanon again is the title sponsor for the Factory Stock division. This class begins the program most every Friday night and also has saw the season titles
come down to the last night of Racing as they has never been a repeat champion in this very popular class as full bodied cars remind the fans of the older days of Late Model
type racing as Metric Cars go against the Camaro bodied cars weekly. Central Bank has been serving the Lebanon and Laclede County Area for over 80 season and has established
itself as one of the very few hometown banks to keep going forward and giving back to the community. 4 locations in Lebanon and 1 in Conway serve the Laclede County area.
Energy Companies has joined the Pure Stock class this season after being title sponsor for the Modifieds last season. Distributors of Conoco and Phillips 66 gas and oil
products locally, Energy Companies has been a track sponsor since the Speedway was first built and opened in 2004.
Rocky Ridge Construction has joined to be the title sponsor for the popular and ever growing Midwest Modz division. Like the Midwest Modz growing, Rocky Ridge Construction
has been in the Lebanon/St Robert area for 7 years and continues to grow also with homes and buildings with Craig Gower and his staff in the area.
The Street Stock class (Formerly Bombers) is close to having their title sponsor at this time and hopefully by the opening points night it will be ready to release. Last
season Coldwell Banker was the title sponsor for this class.
Finally the Special A-Mod events at the Midway will be sponsored by Coldwell Banker of Lebanon with Linda and Paul Eidson to serve your real estate needs whether it be buying
and home or business but also rental property.
The First race at the Midway will be a special paying event as on April 1&2nd the 2nd annual Spring Fling starts the racing action in southwest Missouri.
Friday Night will feature the qualifying heats for the B-Mods, Factory Stocks, Street Stocks, Midwest Modz and Pure Stocks along with pole dashes. Race Time will be 8PM with
Hotlaps at 7PM. On Sat. night April 2nd-The A-Mods will join in on the action with time trials, heats and a feature event paying $500 to win. The Last Chance events and
featires for the B-Mods, Factory Stocks, Street Stocks, Midwest Modz and Pure Stocks will run on Sat. Night with a large purse up for grabs. Hotlaps start at 6:30 with Time
Trials for the A-Mods following and racing slated to start at 7:30.
In the event of a Friday Night cancellation-the purse will be half and everything will be run on Sat. Night.
Friday Night admission will be $10 for Adults Juniors(8-15) $5 and children under 8 Free.
Sat night admission is $15 for Adults with Junior and kids prices the same.

Aaron's To Sponsor Midway Modifieds In 2011 - Car Show At Aaron's March 26th

Lebanon, Mo. - Aaron's Sales and Lease in Lebanon, Missouri have announced that they will be the title sponsor for the Modifieds at the
Lebanon Midway Speedway for the 2011 Racing season.
This is the 5th season for the weekly racing series Modified class with alot of local talent competing each Friday Night. Past Champions
from this class include Jason Otto(2007&2008), Mickey Burrell(2009) and Lebanon's Michael Stake(2010).
Aaron's Sales and Lease just recently opened up a store in Lebanon with the location on Evergreen Parkway on the South part of Lebanon.
Aaron's has announced that they will be hosting a Car show on Sat March 26th from 10AM until 2PM at their store on Evergreen Parkway in
the parking lot. All cars wanting to join this will be paying a $5 entry fee with the Fan Favorite Car winning the entire pot up for
grabs. There will also be trophies and prize packages available for each class.
In addition the Local area Boy Scouts will be having a BBQ to help raise money so come hungry and get a chance to visit with the drivers
and get a close look at the cars before the Season starts on April 1st & 2nd with the Spring Fling.
