Results

Despite cold temps the fans were treated to plenty of hot racing action as 75 cars checked into the pits as the Lebanon Midway Speedway opened its 2008 season and last-lap drama highlighting the racing action.

 Casey General stores USRA A-Modifieds

The Casey General stores USRA A-Modified feature would see two friends and rivals dice it out for another exciting finish as 2005 Modified champion Jamie Ragland and 2007 Champ Eric Hudson treated the crowd to side by side racing.
The start of the A-Modified feature saw 2007 Valley Speedway champion Jake Richards jump to the early lead with Hudson closely following. Hudson took control at the line after lap 1 with Ragland and Richards battling behind with Bobbye Williams moving quickly.
 As Hudson tried to pull away, Ragland broke away from the battle with Richards and pulled on Hudson's back bumper. The Dynamic duo ran side by side with Hudson using the top groove and Ragland moving on the bottom while Bobbye Williams, Jason Meadors, Richards and Jimmy Willis were fighting for third place. Moving on lap 18, Hudson and Ragland were going through traffic and Hudson moved to the bottom with Ragland grabbing the top groove. Coming out of turn 2 on the last lap, Ragland made a bold move and slipped around on the outside to nip Hudson for the win with Hudson, Williams, Meadors and Richards in the top 5.

  B-Modifieds 

The B-Modifieds were battling for $500 to win and after a couple of restarts defending B-Mod champion Jason Otto would grab the early lead with I-44 champion Josh Woody following in tow along with Mickey Burwell. While the 2 Lebanon track champions battling, Colt Cheevers, recovering from an early spin was moving forward quickly and veteran Ed Wilson quietly moving in contention along with Ken Dickinson. Following a late-race yellow, the stage was set as Otto would see Wilson moving on the top groove and Cheevers moving on the middle groove. Heading for the checkered flag, Wilson would slingshot of the top groove capturing the victory by less than 1 car length over Otto and Cheevers about 3 cars behind. Woody and 14th place starter Ken Dickinson completed the top 5.

  Bombers

In Bomber action, Shawn Strong would jump from his front row starting spot and would never look back in grabbing the bombers feature while the positions behind were swapping quickly as Chris Morelock would withstand several challenges to grab the runner-up spot followed closely by Brandon Knudtson, Joe Francis and Jack Hamer completed the top 5.

 Factory Stocks 

The Factory Stock feature saw Ben Solberg lead all 15 laps but not without several challenges from teammate Issac Keepper, who would spin on lap 13 while going for the lead. From there, Derrick Brown would challenge late but Solberg was to strong in capturing the win followed by Brown, Sundance Keepper, Tim Petty and Troy White.

 Super Stocks 
An exciting feature for the Super Stocks had Dwight Neihoff grab the opening lead with J.C. Newell in tow along with Ben Newell and Larry Prewett. On lap 2, J.C. Newell went to the top groove and took control from Neihoff was Ben Newell went to the bottom groove making it a 3-wide battle until Ben Newell moving ahead on lap 4 and left the pack to capture the feature with J.C. Newell, Neihoff, Travis Hill and Bill Scharr following.

2005 Winged Sprint Car champion Eric Todd was a last-minute sub in his father's car and got a great jump on the opening restart and never looked back in grabbing the feature win with 2006 champion Clint Todd, defending champion J.P. Compton, Scott Wedelstadt and Keith Breedlove following.
